Course description

Integrated Practice - English for Economics and Business 3 is an English course for second-year students in the economics and business disciplines at the Intermediate level, serving as a foundation for progressing to the Upper Intermediate level. This course aims to enhance the knowledge students have acquired upon completing the Integrated Practice 1 and 2 courses, with the goal of reaching an advanced level. This represents the body of English knowledge within the advanced general knowledge component that students must master in order to be eligible to sit the graduation examination, and to build a foundation for students to develop their careers after graduation and meet the demands of society.

Course requirements

Regulations on eligibility to sit the end-of-course examination

The attendance score must be 5 or above (in accordance with the University's general regulations)

Method for assessing the attendance score: see Appendix 2, Rubric 1.

Regulations on class attendance

Students will earn bonus points for each constructive class contribution, which may offset the process score, test score, and group assignment score.

Students who do not submit the group assignment will receive a score of 0 (zero) for the final assignment. A group of students that submits late will be deducted 1 point for each day of late submission.

Regulations on classroom conduct

The course is conducted on the principle of mutual respect between learners and instructors. Any behavior that affects the teaching and learning process is strictly prohibited.
