EP30.FSF1109 — Graduation Thesis
Course description
The undergraduate thesis is an independent research project undertaken by students under the supervision of a faculty advisor after the completion of general education courses, foundational disciplinary courses, specialized coursework, and relevant supplementary modules.
This course is conducted outside the traditional classroom setting, with students working directly and independently under academic supervision. As part of the course requirements, students must complete an internship of at least 10 weeks at an organization or enterprise in order to become familiar with professional working environments, acquire practical experience, develop professional skills, and collect data for their research.
The undergraduate thesis aims to enable students to consolidate and apply disciplinary knowledge while fostering autonomy, independence, self-directed learning, and a sense of responsibility. It also serves as a comprehensive assessment of the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the academic program, as well as students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical contexts.
The course culminates in the completion of an undergraduate thesis, in which students are required to present an academic research report and defend their work before an examination committee.
