Course description
Supply Chain Management is a course that introduces the modern, linkage-based perspective of business management. In the context of a world economy that is becoming increasingly ‘‘flat’’, the ‘‘battle’’ in business between enterprises now no longer takes place merely between individual firms but mainly between ‘‘chains’’ of enterprises. In other words, competition in the current context means competition between supply chains. The enterprise that recognizes this value and makes the greatest effort to build and manage its supply chain will have greater opportunities in business. This course expands students' business administration knowledge toward a focus on linkage and cooperation among enterprises rather than concentrating solely on the interests of a single firm.
Main content:
The concept of the Supply Chain
Supply chain design
Transportation management
Inventory management
Supply chain planning
Global supply chain
Measuring supply chain performance.
Course requirements
Regulations on eligibility for the end-of-course examination

How the attendance score is assessed: see Appendix 2, Rubrics 1.
Regulations on class attendance
Students/trainees are responsible for fully attending all class sessions. In the case of absence due to force majeure, full and reasonable supporting documents must be provided. Each absence will result in a deduction of 1 point from the process assessment score. Students who are absent for more than 3 sessions, whether with or without a valid reason, will be considered as not having completed the course and must re-register for it.
Students will earn additional points for each constructive contribution to the lesson, which may offset the process score, the test score, and the group assignment score.
Students who do not submit the group assignment will receive a score of 0 (zero) for the final assignment. A group of students that submits the assignment late will be deducted 1 point for each day of late submission. Regulations on classroom conduct (if any)
The course is conducted on the principle of respect for both learners and instructors. Any behavior that adversely affects the teaching and learning process is strictly prohibited.
Students must attend class on time. Students who arrive more than 10 minutes after the class has started will not be allowed to attend the session.
Students are required to participate in answering questions, discussions, group assignments, and presenting research results. The Lecturer may ask any member of the group to present the research results and award the group's score.
Making noise and disturbing others during class is strictly prohibited.
Laptops and tablets may only be used for the purpose of taking lecture notes and performing calculations to support the lecture and assignments; they must not be used for any other purpose.
