Course description

Strategic Management 2 is a course built upon the fundamental knowledge provided in the Strategic Management 1 course. This course continues to address several more extended topics and focuses on methodological issues as well as the techniques for analyzing and selecting strategies. The course also provides a deeper analysis of strategies at different levels and strategy under conditions of globalization. In addition, the course introduces content related to the implementation, evaluation, and adjustment of a firm's strategy.

Course requirements

Regulations on eligibility to sit the end-of-course examination

The attendance score must be 5 or above (in accordance with the University's general regulations).

Method of assessing the attendance score: see Appendix 2, Rubric 1.

Regulations on class attendance

The course is conducted on the principle of mutual respect between learners and instructors;

Take full notes and participate in answering questions;

Read the required materials in advance;

Do not make noise or disturb others, and do not eat during class;

Laptops, tablets, and mobile phones may only be used for the purpose of taking lecture notes and performing calculations for study purposes, and must absolutely not be used for any other purpose.

Regulations on classroom conduct

Learners who fail to submit the required group assignment will receive a score of 0 (zero).

After the prescribed deadline, each day of late submission will result in a one-point deduction.

Weight in the course grade: 50%

Format: Essay examination

Duration: 90 minutes

Weight in the course grade: 10%

Assessed through lecture and discussion sessions.

* Note: 10+: may be considered for adding bonus points to the 40% assessment score when the attendance score is 10.
